Abigail Walker – 2021 | John Glenn
A 1st team all-Ohio honoree for Division II, Walker was a highly effecitve and efficient middle for the Little Muskies. She terminated an average of four kills per set at a .361 rate and proved difficult to slow down given her near 50% kill per attempt ratio. Perhaps her biggest contributions though at times came in other areas of the game as she led this team in total service aces, averaged over 10 digs per match, and was a big presence at the net defensively with a stellar average of over five blocks per match with a total of 125 on the season. She is a physical athlete with good size and range and will be taking her game to the University of Cincinnati next season.
Grace Conrad – 2021 | Sheridan
Conrad is a crafty competitor with a well-rounded skill set. The senior contributed to her team’s effort in a variety of ways during the 2020 season. Sharing setting duties at times, she helped guide the Generals to a .295 attack efficiency while averaging over seven assists per set. Additionally, she had her fair share of attempts earning nearly two kills per set. On the defensive side she was among team leaders at over 11 digs per match. At 5’6, she found a way to provide for her team with good athleticism and veteran experience to make the right play for her team. The Generals finished undefeated in conference play at 16-0 and she earned Division II 1st team all-Ohio recognition.
Division III – Player of the Year
Casey Kildow – 2021 | Union Local
The 5’7 senior was everything for this Union Local squad as she consistently contributed in a variety of facets throughout the season. As a setter and outside hitter she made a big impact on the Jets’ offense and helping them to a 14-1 conference record. With nearly 450 assists on the season she also added nearly two kills per set. As she led the team in total service aces with 68, she also was among team leaders defensively at just over nine digs per match. As a primary setter during the club season, she can distribute the full range of the court with good accuracy and through a variety of tempos helping her hitters be successful from pin-to-pin.
Division IV – Player of the Year
Logan Haught – 2021 | Frontier
Haught is no stranger to postseason accolades and this year earns POY recognition for her leadership and contributions for the Cougars. The 5’11 senior averaged over two kills per set and finished among team leaders in total service aces. On the defensive side her play led to over two blocks per match and team high 5.4 digs per match as well.
