Here is a look at six heavy hitters from that class as the rankings begin to come together.
OH, Skyler Pierce, 6’1”, Olathe Northwest – Pierce is a Division I prospect who is tall and has a big reach. She finished the 2020 high school season with 384 kills and 218 digs.
OH, Rachel Van Gorp, 5’8”, Heritage Christian Academy – Van Gorp plays for a small school but has a huge future. She is one of 15 Kansas players to record more than 400 kills in 2020. She finished with 444.
OH, Jillian Huckabey, 5’11”, Olathe Northwest – Huckabey has received multiple post-season All-team recognitions and they will keep coming in the years to come. She finished 2020 with 291 kills and 306 digs.
MB, Cy Rae Campbell, 6’0”, Heritage Christian Academy – Campbell paired up with Van Gorp should equal huge win totals at Heritage Christian Academy through the 2023 season. Campbell finished the high school season with 269 kills and 33 blocks.
OH, Kinsey Perine, 5’6”, Rossville – Perine is a solid two-row player for Rossville. She finished the 2020 season with 263 kills and 241 digs. She is a solid NAIA prospect and could keep improving her status with three more high school seasons to play.
OH, Gracie Morrow, 5’10”, Maize South – The Mavericks have a successful program and that program still has a bright future with Morrow to help build around. The outside hitter had 263 kills and 176 digs in her freshman season.
