1st Team
Kamryn Hunt – OH | Northview
The 6’1 outside hitter averaged 4.4 kills per set in leading Northview’s offense. She has a dynamic approach pattern with a big double-arm move that creates a high contact point when she is on time and balance. Her length and range are maximized well at the peak of her jump as she has good arm control and can generate good power and range through the opponent’s court. She set a school record for total kills helping her earn Division I 3rd team all-Ohio recognition.
Avery Adamski – DS/L | Perrysburg
Adamski is one of Ohio’s better young liberos as she has good size and length for the position at 5’8. She provides a lot of stability in serve receive with her ability to pass half the court with good efficiency. She has a good first step response to the serve and often gets to the ball on balance with good platform angle position. At over 21 digs per match, she plays defense with quick reaction and good range to puruse the ball in any direction to create a lot of offensive opportunities for her team. She also earned all-Ohio honorable mention selection.
Sara Pahl – OH | Southview
The 5’10 outside hitter averaged 3.7 kills per set as one of the Cougars’ primary offensive threats in 2020. She gets her feet to the ball well and has the ability to swing with a high elbow that allows her to move the ball around well. She shows good versatility to swing through a variety of zones and tempos. Some of her best play though is a result of her all-around skill set as she plays defense with good read and reaction, which led to a 10 digs per match average. She can also put a lot of pressure on opponents with a tough jump float serve.
Honorable Mention
Corrie Brown – S | Springfield
Brown has great size a setter at 6’1. When in system and on balance she shows good hand position and delivery through the full range of the court. She can set a varied offense as well through a moderate tempo and in getting middles involved through different zones and in setting overhead, where this team had great offensive production. As she continues to train and gain experience, expect to see her out of system footwork and delivery improve. Her size also allows her to be a threat at the net on boths sides of the ball as an offensive setter and in putting up a big block.
