Natalie Davis – 5’9 | OH | Hayes
Davis was a key element for the Hayes’ offense on the left side. She shows simple movement in her approach transition and footwork without much wasted movement. By getting her feet to the ball she can utilize a high elbow to increase her contact point. She has good arm control to move the ball around through various zones at the end of her swing with ability to produce some good heat. With improved momentum build and aggressiveness in her last two steps her consistency to swing with pace at the peak of her jump will increase.
Zeynip Yildiz – 5’8 | OH | Worthington Kilbourne
The top producing member for the Wolves, Yildiz averaged 2.4 kills per set while attacking at a .200 efficiency. She has good volleyball I.Q. to match her well-rounded skill set as a six-rotation athlete. Her approach work is sound fundamentally and she has good court awareness to take the right swing either for power or placement. Some of her best action comes in serve receive, defensively, and at the service line where she led her team in total aces, which make her a worthy look as a DS/Libero for the next level.
2023
Jonna Spohn – 5’5 | DS/L | Oletangy
Spohn shows good engagement as a libero throughout point flow. She has good vision and patience as she watches the play develop. This allows her to use her quickness to pursue the ball with good range. Her success rate and efficiency as a result of her playmaking ability will increase with her feet stopped upon hitter contact and more deliberate balance to first step reaction towards the ball. She has good instincts and reaction with her platform on a hard driven ball with ability to adjust angles well.
2024
Myriah Massey – 5’9 | OH | Pickerington Central
Just a freshman, Massey led the Tigers offensively at 3.7 kills per set and a .295 attack efficiency. She is athletic with good quickness and elevation, which she maximizes well both at the net when hitting and in the back row with her ball control and defense. She gets her feet to the ball well and has good explosiveness off the floor while showing good arm control to be able to score from either pin and out of the back row. She also added 11.3 digs per match. Keep an eye on her during the club season.
Alec Rothe – 6’2 | MH/RS | Dublin Scioto
With a recorded two-step 10-foot jump touch, Rothe has potential to play well above the net as she is establishing herself as one of the top prospects in the 2024 class in Ohio. Her length and wingspan benefit her well on both sides of the ball and she shows great aggressiveness in her play at the net. She moves well in transition and tracks the ball well to make herself available with good spacing and timing around her setter. She has a nice arm that can generate a lot of power and range through quick options. Defensively, she averaged over two blocks per match as she can close down hitters quickly. Rothe has potential to be an elite prospect as she moves through her prep career.
