With the addition of these players and many great players from some Omaha area schools, we expect some great performances and the adrenaline in the gym to be high!
Check out these Omaha area players and information directly from their high school coaches:
BELLEVUE WEST
Destiny Ndam-Simpson Destiny Ndam-Simpson 6'1" | OH Omaha Westside | 2023 State #37 Nation NE | 2023 | OH | 6’2 | Bellevue West | Nebraska Elite
Coach Christina Krajicek:
Both players were our starting OHs this year. Destiny was one of our captains this year and a 6 rotation player for us. She’s still working on her consistency defensively but is just as dominant offensive in the back row as she is in the front row. She is such a dynamic player who is extremely athletic and can take over a match.
Kayla Eggiman | 2024 | OH | 5’8 | Bellevue West | Premier
Coach Christina Krajicek:
Kayla was just a front-row player for us, she wasn’t quite ready to take the heat/speed of the ball defensively but definitely matured as the season went on, and will eventually take on a defensive role. Kayla definitely held her own offensively this year and has a nasty serve. Both are powerful OH hitters who were go-to players for us and helped us get to the state tournament.
OMAHA MARIAN
Ashley Wilwerding | 2023 | OH | 5’10 | Marian | Premier 16 Gold
Coach Amy McLeay:
Ashley looks to be a full rotation OH. She has great power as an attacker & continues to work on her shots in order to make her a more versatile player. As a back-row defensive player, she can play both left-back as well as middle back. She is quick and a great option for the back-row attack.
Lucy Drexel | 2022 | MH | 5’11 | Marian | River City Jrs 18 Navy
Coach Amy McLeay:
Lucy Drexel continues to bring a powerful presence to the front row as a MB & RS attacker. She sees attackers well as a blocker. She is quick to the ball and continues to work on attacking at a higher reach.
PAPIO SOUTH
Madison Sheets | 2022 | S, DS/L | 5’8 | Papio South | River Cities 17 Navy
Coach Katie Tarman:
Madi is a hard worker with a very positive attitude. She will be a positive contributor to a team. She has nice hands and a tough serve.
SKUTT CATHOLIC
Grace Kremer | 2022 | H | 6’1 | Skutt Catholic | NE Elite Volleyball
Coach Renee Saunders:
Grace Kremer – monster blocker. Great discipline at the net and the ability to take over matches with her swing. Super Coachable!
Anna Weberg | 2023 | DS/L | 5’7 | Skutt Catholic | Premier 16 Black
Coach Renee Saunders:
Anna Weberg – flies under the radar. Has an amazing ball touch, and the ability to keep things simple yet very efficient. Super coachable!
