Continue ReadingThere are still plenty of strong Class of 2021 athletes on the board who can make a great impact at the next level. These are all athletes I have seen live so I can vouch for them. This isn’t off MaxPreps or VarsityBound. They’ve had a bumpy road in their recruiting journey with pandemic thrown in the middle of it, but can definitely play at the next level!
Iowa
Isabelle Kronenberg Isabelle Kronenberg OH Dowling | 2021 State IA (Izzy) – Iowa PowerPlex 18 Black
Right Side
I have been such a huge fan of Kronenberg where she is a long, lefty right side that can score plenty of points and provide a big block. She was a standout for Dowling Catholic all fall where they finished in the final four this past season of Iowa’s largest class and was a standout at the Nebraska Top 250. Her PowerPlex 18 Black squad is going to be one of the top teams in the Iowa Region. A definitely late steal.

Erin Bathie – Club Ignit Select 16 Blue
Outside Hitter/DS
Bathie came back with a vengeance from a knee injury last year and was a key piece to Gilbert’s final four run in Iowa’s Class 4A. She can score from the pin and is also a dependable defender in the backrow. She will team up with some talented, and still available 2021’s on the Club Ignit Select squad out of the West Des Moines area. She still has plenty of upside to her game.
Congrats to Emerson Thelen Emerson Thelen OH Dowling | 2021 State IA for being selected to the All-tournament team at the state tournament this week! We are so proud of you Emmi! pic.twitter.com/ZtRbCdXqcI

Emerson Thelen Emerson Thelen OH Dowling | 2021 State IA – Club Ignit Select 16 Blue
Outside Hitter
Thelen is another strong all around athlete who is a key player on the pin that can play all the way around. She’s played high level club as well as being part of one of the top high school programs in Iowa at Dowling Catholic and would be a great pick up as far as athleticism, competitiveness, and culture for any team at the next level.
Lineya Wells – MVP (Sioux City)
Outside Hitter/Mulit-Sport
Extremely athletic. Wells was one of the top outside hitters in Western Iowa and has also been a standout in track and field where she was unable to have a Junior season. She would be a great pick up as a dual-sport threat where she will not only contribute to the volleyball team, but could translate well to the track as well.

Thea Rotto Thea Rotto OH Gilbert | 2021 State IA – Iowa PowerPlex 18 Black
Outside Hitter
One of the top all around athletes available in Central Iowa, Rotto is another member of the Iowa PowerPlex 18 Black squad. She carried her team to the final four in Class 4A as a six rotation outside who can do some creative things on the pin with a blend of power and finesse. She is also a key mix to the rotation for the Gilbert Girls Basketball team who is ranked in the basketball player for Gilbert that is ranked in the top five of Class 4A.
Mckenna Scheib Mckenna Scheib MB Ankeny | 2021 State IA – Six Pack 18-1
Middle Blocker
Long, athletic, huge upside that can run high tempo routes, and added a state title to her resume with Ankeny this past season as Iowa’s large class champions (Class 5A). The Six Pack 18-1 team is going to be another top team in the Iowa region and has plenty of experience. Scheib has shown her overall athleticism time and time again which should translate well to the next level.
Leah Moeller Leah Moeller MB Hempstead | 2021 State IA – Iowa Rockets 18R
Middle Blocker
Moeller had a big high school season where she was a key piece to Dubuque Hempstead’s run to the Class 5A state tournament. She can close the block as the middle and translate quickly to make herself available to attack in transition. This Iowa Rockets crew has been playing together for years where they are always a traditionally strong team to content with in the Iowa Region.
Wisconsin
Uncommitted 2021 middle Amber Van de Hei of One Wisconsin 18 Mizuno. Long, great leader, can score points @recruitingasst pic.twitter.com/ObmNgBHZBB
— Chris Fitzgerald (@PrepDigChris) January 3, 2021
Amber VandeHei – 1W 18 Bay Mizuno
MB
I’ve seen VandeHei play all fall and she continues to impress with her deer jumping ability that allows her to contribute anywhere in the front row. VandeHei was without a high school season this fall due to Green Bay Public Schools opting to the spring for Wisconsin high school volleyball. Her ability to work with her setter to score a variety points in a variety of ways is the name to her game.
Lakyn Graves Lakyn Graves 6'1" | MB Sussex Hamilton | 2021 State WI – Milwaukee Sting 18 Gold
MB
Extremely strong and physical. Graves won a state championship with Sussex Hamilton in Wisconsin’s largest class. She will play for Sting 18 Gold which is stacked with talent and other commits heading across the country. Graves may be one of the best defensive middle blockers in her class and with her being accustomed to high level competition and training, she is definitely a steal at the next level.
1W 18 Mizuno has some solid athletes from 2021 still available.
Grace Perret Grace Perret 5'9" | OH Green Bay Preble | 2021 State WI – OH

Jazz Lohman Jazz Lohman 6'1" | MB De Pere | 2021 State WI – MB/RS – looking strong coming back from an injury pic.twitter.com/qo3r20S7U8— Chris Fitzgerald (@PrepDigChris) January 3, 2021
Grace Perret Grace Perret 5'9" | OH Green Bay Preble | 2021 State WI – 1W 18 Bay Mizuno
OH/DS
High academic, six rotation outside, Perret is steady and solid all the way around where she could be used as an outside hitter/ds at the next level. She is a solid athlete who will contribute to whatever gym she is in next year where she has a strong all around game.
Jazz Lohman Jazz Lohman 6'1" | MB De Pere | 2021 State WI – 1W 18 Bay Mizuno
MB/RS
Lohman is getting back on the court after being out with a knee injury. She can play on the right side or out of the middle where she is strong, explosive, and always wreaks havoc in multiple ways. She can score points or put up a bit block and is getting back in the groove where her best volleyball is ahead of her.
Natalie Tesch Natalie Tesch 5'10" | S Wisconsin Lutheran | 2021 State WI – Milwaukee Sting 18 Black
RS/S
Tesch is the swiss army knife that can do everything her teammates need. She is a lefty right side, setter who does plenty of positives for her team. She is the type of player who is engaged with her teammates, an energizer, and consistently has positive body language. She has been a key success to her high school program of Wisconsin Lutheran and has been a training under Milwaukee Sting for her high school years.
Molly Lawlis Molly Lawlis 5'10" | MB Pacelli | 2021 State WI – Wisconsin Ice 18 Purple
Middle Blocker
Lawlis is a hidden gem from Northern Wisconsin who is extremely strong and physical out of the middle. A heavy arm, Lawlis has proven she can compete with top middles and also be a go to player on her side of the net. Her Wisconsin Ice 18 Purple team out of Wausau will be making the trip down to the Quad Cities Clash January 16-17.
Maria Serb Maria Serb MB State WI – Revolution RVA 18 Navy
Outside Hitter/DS
Serb was playing outside for RVA which is out of suburban Milwaukee where she is so consistent with her play on the pin and in the backrow. She’s athletic, efficient, and knows the game. Allt through the weekend she did everything for her team. She would translate nicely as a DS to the next level where she provides a swing and so much athleticism in the backrow. All of our Prep Dig scouts kept talking about how impressive her fundamental base was and how she was continuously providing positive touches.
