Clubs have had to deal with being under different constraints in each state, so no one was sure what to expect in regards to level of play. The energy was better than expected as everyone was excited to be there and get on the court. While we are grateful for everyone being able to livestream, we always love seeing athletes play live. When it’s live, it is so much easier to see all of their intangibles and influence on their team. Here are 5 uncommitted players that are ready to find a place to play at the next level!
#21 Kiki Vandenbrook Kiki Vandenbrook DS/L Edgewood | 2022 State WI – 2022 – 5’8 – Libero – Edgewood – Balance 17’s (WI)
Vandenbrook is the libero you need to make all of the usual plays. She is also one who has steadily been improving. Vandebrook is inching up on the radar and would be a good one to have at the next level. She would be a enhancement to your culture with her ability to work hard, take the lead, and be a great teammate. You won’t see a single point go by that Vandenbrook doesn’t get excited about. She is the spark.

#22 Rowan Schreiber Rowan Schreiber 6'5" | MB Madison Memorial | 2023 State WI – 2023 – 6’4 – Middle Blocker – Madison Memorial – Balance 17’s (WI)
Balance 17’s may have brought the most vitality and excitement to the TBK Bank Sports Complex Saturday and Sunday. They didn’t let us down when it came to great celebratory pictures. The best part was that they had the game play to back it up. Schreiber is a physical force who is active at the net. She is a blocking force but could attack above most blockers and go anywhere on the court. If Balance stays in-system, they will be difficult to stop.
#8 Abby Savatski Abby Savatski 6'1" | MB Mukwonago | 2022 State WI – 2022 – 6’1 – Middle Blocker – Mukwonago – RVA G17 Navy
Young middle blockers can learn a ton from Savatski. She takes approaches and transitions quickly, and she is always an attack option. Savatski is unrelenting going from pin to pin to close the block, and the amount of touches she gets proves it. Being a middle blocker is difficult, They need to be able to read the opposing team, cover a lot of ground, and the toughest job is staying out of the way of the setter. Savatski puts on a clinic for middles in all of these jobs, and she is such a fun athlete to watch. She is a student of the game and can hit a nice cutback while she’s at it.
#5 Libby Lansing Libby Lansing 6'0" | MB Western Dubuque | 2023 State IA – 2023 – 6’0 – Middle Blocker – Western Dubuque – Flight 17
The 6’0 middle may be one of the most energetic blockers, while she can do just about everything from scoring points offensively, defensively, and providing energy for her team. Lansing did a great job fighting for every point. Her height alone provides her several options at the next level.

#51 Ruth Ziegler Ruth Ziegler 6'3" | MB Warren Township | 2024 State IL – 2024 – 6’2 – Middle Blocker – Sky High Adidas 15-1 NS
Ziegler is the new kid on the block. While at first I thought she has potential and was going to leave my notes at that, I returned to her court after about a set and already there was just a different presence about her. In that short time she looked more comfortable, confident and what I thought was just potential had already developed into something real. She started to show reliability, control, and a knack for getting her team excited in all aspects of her game.
