The 2021 Windy City Qualifier was a showcase for Michigan’s Class of 2023 to show just how strong it is.

In the 16 Open, Legacy 16-1 ADIDAS put itself second after losing a very close final to NE Elite 16 Top Gun 28-26, 25-22.

Michigan Elite 16 Mizuno landed in fifth place, closing out its tournament with a 25-23, 25-17 win over Circle City 16 Purple.

Between the two programs, here’s who stood out the most last weekend in Missouri.

Harper Murray Harper Murray 6'2" | OH Skyline | 2023 State MI , OH Legacy – No surprise here, as Murray is the most consistent performer in this class, perhaps in the nation. She had 90 kills while hitting .301 for the weekend, but also passed a very strong 2.6. Murray also added 11 blocks and continues to showcase her overall skills on the big stage.

Paige Elliott Paige Elliott 5'6" | S Country Day | 2023 State MI , L/DS Legacy – Legacy has had some injuries defensively and was without Sarah Vellucci Sarah Vellucci 5'11" | OH Novi | 2023 State MI heading into Windy City. Elliott hadn’t been able to practice much prior, but really was the unsung hero for Legacy over the weekend. Elliott passed a 2.0 for the event and was great with her effort and energy in the back row.
