Defensive players from the Class of 2022 are helping to lead high school volleyball teams throughout the 4th Region. 

Here are four 2022 4th Region defensive players to watch.

Callie Carpenter is a senior libero/defensive specialist for Logan County High School. Versatile, Carpenter has shown the ability to hit from both the back row and the front row while delivering in multiple categories. Productive with a diverse skill set, Carpenter can set the ball if needed.  

Ally Gee is a senior libero/defensive specialist for Monroe County High School. Gee possesses solid passing and defensive skills, routinely turning the first touch into a solid pass to the setter. An experienced player, Gee is a strong back row hitter. 

Kaylee Gifford is a senior defensive specialist for South Warren High School. Athletic and a strong communicator who has shown leadership abilties, Gifford covers the court extensively. Gifford is a productive back row hitter who digs and pursues well regularly. 

Emma Loiars is a senior libero for Green County High School. Loiars possess a solid all-around skill set and has displayed the ability to set the ball from the back row when the setter is unavailable. Quick-reacting, Loiars moves well from side
