Lovie Wallace Lovie Wallace 6'0" | MB Hamilton Southeastern | 2022 State IN , 6-0 MB, Hamilton Southeastern
With an attack touch past ten feet, quick transition and strength beyond strength, HSE’s M1 coming into this fall is our top rated middle without a commitment. She trained this past club season with “the Samurai”, which in these parts is the best 18s team in the state, Munciana 18-1. With that training, she’s learned to defend from pin to pin better, work in front of and behind the setter with equal skill, and always seems to hit for a high percentage, regardless of the setter. Oh, and did I mention a state title and two national titles?
Niesha Anderson Niesha Anderson 6'2" | MB Fort Wayne Snider | 2022 State IN , 6-2 MB, Snider
This Fort Wayne-area big is quite literally just that. She’s a bit late to the game developmentally, but you cannot deny her size, her ability, and her quickness. She gets up quick off of two feet, takes up a ton of space on the block, and plays for an Empowered squad that has made her this good in a hurry. She’s an M2 at the next level, and does best when surrounded by similar bigs. I like her improvement over this past club season, and she’s only going to get better from here.
Sarah Bennett Sarah Bennett 6'0" | MB Columbus North | 2022 State IN , 6-0 MB, Columbus North
With an internal engine that never seems to turn off, Sarah, is a full-go, no-quit middle that can play multiple positions at the next level. She’s ultra fast, gets up quickly, and has a fast and heavy arm that terminates regularly. Her Circle City training has made her that much more confident going into her senior season, and will probably be called upon to be everything for CN. At the next level, she projects to be either middle or a three rotation pin, a true hybrid if there ever was one.
Kimora Whetstone Kimora Whetstone 5'9" | MB Lawrence North | 2022 State IN , 5-9 MB, Lawrence North
With solid Munciana training behind her, Kimora has probably the fastest transition among the middles listed here. Her arms are longer than her 5-9 frame, making blocking a breeze for this Wildcat. Exceptional off of two feet, she’s up and terminal before the opposing block even notices. Miss Whetstone is also deadly from behind the service line, and can take over a match if you let her. Do NOT underestimate this kid—she’ll beat you if you do.
Sky Moffitt Sky Moffitt 6'2" | MB Lafayette Jefferson | 2022 State IN , 6-2 MB, Lafayette Jefferson
Most recently at Circle City, Sky has already surpassed the 500 kill mark at her high school. She’s an absolute thumper, and excels off of two feet. I’ve seen her hit everything an M2 can hit, plus some right side to boot. She is ideal for a program looking for a big that can block and attack in multiple positions. I mean, who CAN’T use a 6-2 middle jumping at ten feet?
