Top-ranked Harper Murray Harper Murray 6'2" | OH Skyline | 2023 State #2 Nation MI already made her commitment to Nebraska, but two other top prospects also recently made their choice.
Marian/Michigan Elite setter Ava Sarafa Ava Sarafa 6'0" | S Marian | 2023 State #14 Nation MI posted online this past weekend that she has elected to commit to the University of Kentucky.
The Wildcats are coming off their first NCAA Tournament championship during this past college season.
Sarafa has really had a productive couple of years, taking over a Marian offense that won the Division 1 state championship in 2020, while really expanding on her skillset during the two club seasons.
Joining Sarafa and Murray in the commitment pool is Lake Orion/Legacy outside hitter Nina Horning Nina Horning 6'5" | OH Lake Orion | 2023 State #50 Nation MI . The 6’3” junior has committed to play for Cincinnati starting in the fall of 2023.
Horning will go down as one of Lake Orion’s most productive volleyball players in school history by the time her prep career is done. She’s also been a key piece to Legacy’s 16-1 ADIDAS national championship this past club season.
Horning continues to grow and get even longer at the net, but her defensive skills are catching up to her powerful hitting ability.
