We saw the Verdigris Cardinals win their rivalry match with Catoosa in 4 sets. Lastly, we saw Carl Albert take down the #1 team in 5A and hand Lawton Mac only their third loss of the season. What will this week’s pick hold in store?
Cache @ Weatherford 09/09
These two western conference foes will not only have a huge conference match at stakes but they are also both just outside of being ranked in the top 8, which is huge for hosting a regional bid. Cache has currently won 6 of the last 7 games and seems to be catching a second wind midway through the year. Weatherford is on a 4 game skid but a rivalry match is just the thing to spark a fire and get them back on track.
Players to watch: 2022 Kloe Heidebracht has some impressive stats thus far. She is averaging 10 kills on a .314 hitting efficiency, 10.3 digs, 1.87 SR rating, 5 aces with a 2.53 server rating, with many of these being the highest on her team. This is even more impressive when you know she plays as a 6 rotation middle blocker. The Bulldogs are doing something right to be getting a middle this involved. Taylor Shrick, a 2023 S/OH, is averaging 5 digs, 4 kills, and 10 assists per match. Coach Dismuke has a good squad and has done a great job in his first year as head coach.
Norman North @ Jenks 9/9
This will be a huge matchup for 6A. Both are ranked in the top 8 and are looking to get another solid win on their resumes. They met just a little over a week ago at the Broken Arrow Tournament in pool play. The Timberwolves got the best of the Trojans 25-20, 25-23. Jenks was missing one of their starting outsides and will be looking for revenge. This will be Norman North’s only game of the week, while Jenks will look to get some momentum built going into the Bishop Kelley Tournament.

Both of these players for Norman North received all tournament honors. Not to be out done, Mikiah Perdue Mikiah Perdue 5'10" | MB Jenks | 2022 State OK was the overall MVP of the tournament.
Regent Prep @ Cascia Hall 09/07
4A #1 @ 3A #1, how does that sound? Sounds intense and like it will be a dog fight. Regent is coming off beating 4A #2 Victory Christian and 6A #12 Sand Springs this past week. Cascia Hall is coming off a lighter week, only having 1 game against Berryhill. These two have a combined record of 32-5 this season. They are both eyeing a state title in their respective classes and know this kind of game helps prepare them for that moment.
Players to watch: 2023 MB Landry Hill for the Commandoes has been a presence for them all season long. 2023 OH Ella Drake Ella Drake 5'11" | OH Regent | 2023 State OK has stepped up big time in the back row to compliment her front row play. 2022 OH Beth Bayless Beth Bayless 6'1" | OH Regent Preparatory | 2022 State OK continues to come in clutch for the Rams. She is not scared of the big moment and embraces it for her team. She was recently voted all tournament at the Broken Arrow tournament.
