Continue ReadingThe offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the high school volleyball season and have been also hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Harper Cooper Harper Cooper 5'9" | S Parish Episcopal | 2023 State TX [2023] 5-10 Setter/Right Side (HS: Parish Episcopal/Club: Madfrog/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Harper is currently ranked as the 16th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. We have profiled her a few times and we wrote the following about her, “Check out her arm swing if you are able to see it, as it is lightning quick. She is a kill waiting to happen for her athletic Madfrog team. They like to go against flow and set her on the right in an out of system play and she scores very efficiently at it. With a fast arm like that, she will only get better as the years go on. She is also very quick off of the ground with her approach. She has excellent ball control with her attack as her hand contact is second to none. She can place the ball wherever she wants to. The same can be said for Miss Cooper as the main reason for her high ranking is her ability to play all over the court. She also sets for her amazing Madfrog team. She is very poised as a setter and has excellent ball control. Her athleticism allows her to touch any ball on the court. She will be a force for a long time in this game. In only two years on varsity at Parish Episcopal, Miss Cooper has been lighting up the stat book. She has been a kill leader for them and is not stopping anytime soon. She has 664 kills, hitting an impressive .384 percentage, 75 blocks, 46aces, and 385 digs. Her junior and senior season have a chance to move her into the school record books no doubt. They lost a tough five setter to Liberty Christian in the TAPPS State Playoffs but will be back next year with Harper leading the way. “ This young lady’s stock is on the rise and everyone has taken notice. We are proud to announce that she has recently committed to UCLA to play for their ranked Beach volleyball program. She has the perfect ball control and explosiveness to be a stud on the sand. She continues to help lead her high school and they have a 16-1 record on the year so far. They have a legit shot at winning the TAPPS state title due in large part to her all around play. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing volleyball at the next level.
London Hunt London Hunt 5'10" | MB Guyer | 2022 State TX [2022] 5-11 Middle (HS: Guyer/Club: Muscle/Verbal: Uncommitted)
London is currently ranked as the 121st best overall prospect in the 2022 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. We covered London a few times and here is a little of what we said, “She is also a big net contributor for the Guyer program. She plays out of the middle and is a stopping force there against her opponents. Her quick footwork allows her to cover a lot of ground while patrolling the net. She will be a big reason why Guyer is able to be in any game this season because of her defensive abilities. Every great team needs strong middles to shut hitters down or at least slow them down. London is one of Guyer’s stoppers. I love how she presses and seals the net to solidify her block. She also plays at Instinct and they have taught her well. She brings great experience being on varsity last year and helping in their run they had in the playoffs. Be on the lookout for her stock to rise this season as she has a great setter to help her score at will. Miss Hunt showcased her athleticism patrolling the net all tournament long. She had some key stops during big moments and hitters had to attack around her block in every match which made it easier for her teammates to play defense. When we watched her play in person at the GJNC this summer in Vegas, she showed all of her skills against some of the best competition this nation has to offer. She was blocking extremely well and using her quick approach to terminate the ball for her club team. It didn’t take long for a college to offer her a spot. She recently chose to play for Bryant University and will be a stud for them the moment she steps on campus next season. We are proud of her and we hope that each of you congratulates her on the accomplishment.
Katelynn Crowshaw [2022] 6-0 Middle (HS: Byron Nelson/Club: Muscle/Verbal: University of Texas at Tyler)
Katelynn is currently unranked in our State Rankings, but she is one person that I have had on my watch list and now that I have seen her in person, I am going to add her soon. We profiled her when we updated our readers on her club team and how they fared at the Girls junior National Championships this summer and here is a little of what we stated about Katelynn, “She is a solid middle for Byron Nelson High School and also for Muscle volleyball club. Kate hits a very good ball to either corner very easily and can run all of the routes on the middle route tree rapidly. She understands tempo and her transition game will fit into the college level very easily. Her size and speed is what showcased very well when I watched in person. Kate does a fantastic job of penetrating the net during her blocks and seals it very well. What truly stands out is her ability to thread the needle with her attack and she pounds the ball straight down for a kill routinely. Please give her a look as we think she can play at the next level.” It did not take long for many coaches to give this kid a look. We are proud to announce that she recently made her college choice and will suit up for UT Tyler next season. We still get to cover her senior season at Byron Nelson in which Miss Croshaw has stepped up into a major role on her squad. She has obliterated her previous years’ stats. So far this season she has 125 kills on a very impressive .286 hitting percentage. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing volleyball at the next level.
