The hitters have been making some noise, grabbing the attention of many through the talents they are pouring out on the court.
Janice Jackson-Kankakee Trinity Academy/Middle Hitter
Jackson is a diverse athlete across the board when it comes to her athleticism she pours out onto the court. One of the few starting freshman for her varsity team, Jackson has managed to play 85 sets, totaling 212 kills, 118 solo blocks, 121 blocks and 64 aces currently this season. Jackson holds characteristics and traits as a rising elite athlete and progresses to being a elite athlete in the years to come.
Elissa Furlan-Richmond Burton High School/Outside Hitter
Furlan is another freshman who has managed to land herself on the starting roster for her varsity team. Furlan is without a doubt a strong, dependent athlete who manages to prove her talent out on the court. Furlan is relentless on the court, stepping up and going after the ball with every given opportunity. Furlan currently sits with 79 sets played, 237 kills, 151 digs and 51 aces. She is currently off to a great start and continues to rise as an emerging elite athlete.
Jaiden Schneiderman-Forreston High School/Outside Hitter
Schniederman is an emerging freshman, bursting out onto the court showing us what she has to offer when it comes to stepping foot out onto the court. Schneiderman is one of the few starting freshman on Varsity, being seen in 68 sets thus far with 268 kills currently in the season. She is fierce and aggressive on the court and is starting off her high school season with a bang.
Abby VanderWal-Timothy Christian/Outside Hitter
The rising elite OH is another one of the few freshman who have managed to land themselves onto their active varsity roster. VanderWal is a aggressive when she steps foot onto the floor, bringing competition to her opponents. VanderVal has been seen in 57 varsity sets, with 266 kills and 132 digs. VanderWal is quick to get to the ball, both offensively and defensively, making her a well-rounded athlete on the court and dependable.
Shannon Monahan-St. Thomas Moore/Outside Hitter
Monahan is a very diverse athlete when it comes to her role on the court and positional breakdown. Monahan has been seen in 74 sets, with 218 kills and 154 digs so far this season and I don’t think she is on the roll of stopping anytime soon. Monahan averages roughly six kills per game, making her a key scorer amongst her team. Monnahan is a important starter when it comes to the varsity team and her athleticism continues to shine through her performances in each set played.
