One of our missions at Prep Dig is to highlight as many teams and prospects as possible around the state, from State Championship contenders and household names to underdogs and special talents who might be flying under-the-radar.
We spend a lot of time at the gyms gathering information and watching matches and will use this space to highlight some of the teams and players we got to watch in person. It’s time we analyze the Heights Bulldogs.

The Lady Bulldogs from the Heights High School in Houston compete in the Class 6A, Region III – District 18. Being 6’2” is just one of the multiple assets Madison Hess’ game brings to the Lady Bulldogs. Primarily used as a setter due to her great technique and excellent distribution, she can fill in in virtually any position to the team. In fact, she’s deployed as a setter in a couple of rotations and doesn’t disappoint. One of the team’s captains, Hess is very calm on the court and has the ability to take over matches when they’re on the line.
