So it’s time to give some recognition who really caught our eyes this week. These four ladies left it all on the court and deserve every ounce of praise they are getting. Let’s take a look of the players who raised eyebrows this week.
Amanda Zweifler (Ferris)
Zweifler has really come into her own this season for Ferris. She averaged 10 kills in three matches, all victories. A transition from libero to outside hitter in recent seasons, she has come into her own in her senior season. She has great court knowledge from playing in the back row that has helped her hitting.
Erin Coates Erin Coates OH Cranford | 2022 State NJ (Cranford)
Cranford is having a tough season but it isn’t because of the play of Coates. She was absolutely sensational this past week with 38 kills and 61 digs in five matches including a 17 kills and 16 digs performance against Linden. She can punish you from anywhere and is a complete player.
Jocelyn Rodriguez (Rutherford)
Rodriguez has been the focal point of a cinderella season for Rutherford. She is a force to be reckon with anywhere from the court. She averaged over 10 kills in three matches to keep Rutherford unbeaten including a monster performance of 19 kills and 17 digs against Lodi.
Emily Pogorelec (Wayne Valley)
Pogorelec is an unsung hero for Wayne Valley as an outside hitter but she has been playing extremely solid in the back row as well. including 7 kills and 23 digs against West Morris this past week. She averaged 5 kills and 10 digs.
