Continue ReadingThe offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the club and high school volleyball season. They also have been hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have just made their college decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Jozie Dhayer [2022] 5-6 Setter (HS: Summer Creek/Club: Absolute Volleyball Academy/Verbal: Trinity University)
Jozie is currently an unranked prospect according to our Prep Dig rankings. She is a talented setter from the South Houston area. She plays for Summer Creek High School and also for the fantastic Absolute Volleyball Academy of Texas. She has also played for Houston Stellar for four years prior to moving over to AVA. In two years on varsity at Summer Creek she has amassed 1304 assists, 550 digs, 72 aces and 51 kills. This young lady has been slingin’ the rock to some great hitters during both club and high school. What she may lack in height, she makes up for it in pure setting ability. A quick release and soft hands are what make her able to run a 6-2 at any level. She has some serious skills that will be on full display in college next season. We are proud to announce that she just recently committed to playing college volleyball at Trinity University. We are very proud of her and we are extremely happy that she has realized her dream of playing at the next level. Please help us congratulate her on the achievement.
Blaire Bayless [2023] 6-2 Outside (HS: Plano West/Club: Madfrog /Verbal: University of Pittsburgh)
Miss Bayless is currently an unranked prospect according to our Prep Dig State Rankings, but we have her on our watch list and she should have no problem being ranked when I update the rankings soon. She is a lengthy six-rotation outside hitter from the Plano. She plays high school at Plano West High School and club for the amazing Madfrog volleyball program. This young lady is superb on the court for every team she plays on. She routinely is hitting over opposing blockers on the left side. Plano West can rely on her to slug it out with every team they face. She doesn’t stop swinging and scoring even if they are down. Her no quit attitude has her high school team on fire this year. She has the frame and power to excel at any level of volleyball. We are proud to announce that she recently committed to playing volleyball at the University of Pittsburgh. Please help us congratulate Blaire on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball. We are glad that we still get to cover her for the next two years.
Hope Briggs Hope Briggs 6'0" | RS Desoto | 2023 State TX [2023] 6-0 Right Side (HS: Desoto/Club: Madfrog /Verbal: Jackson State)
Hope is currently ranked as the 69th best overall player in the 2023 class according to our State Rankings. She plays for Desoto High School and also for the famed Madfrog Volleyball club. We have profiled her a few times and here is a little from the previous articles, “She is a very long and athletic lefty right side. She is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years. She possesses a great lightning quick left arm that is able to hit with such raw power. She will move up in my rankings quick due to her ability to play both middle and on the right side. It is very difficult for someone to be able to hit multiple tempos but she makes it look very easily. She is able to absolutely unload on a ball down the line on the right, which will score very well in the junior game. She even plays great opposite side defense, which is a huge plus. I think she will be on college coach radars very soon due to her jumping and attacking abilities. She is definitely one to take note of now.” She truly stepped up for her varsity team this season compared to how she was used as a freshman. She was able to tally 86 kills on 187 attempts for a superb .294 hitting percentage as a sophomore middle/right side for Desoto. We know that this year she will be looked at to contribute even more as she has grown with age and experience after this club season. She has every chance to move up the rankings soon with what we see from her play that she has shared with us.” We are happy to announce that she recently made her college choice. She will be playing college volleyball for Jackson State in a few years. I am sure they saw what I saw when we watched her in person at Nationals this summer in Vegas. We are proud to have her in the rankings and that we get to cover her for the next two years before she moves on to the next level. Please help us congratulate her.
