Elena Dragani Elena Dragani S Catholic Memorial | 2023 State WI – Catholic Memorial – Milwaukee Sting
Dragani will be one of the top setters in the gym at the Wisconsin Top 250 and plenty of hitters will enjoy being in her line. She has a great release and can run her middles extremely well. She is also the type who can defend her position in the backrow as well as take a swing when need, a true all around player. She should have a big club season in 2022, she may not be on the list of available prospects for long.
Myakel Kapalko Myakel Kapalko 6'0" | OH Notre Dame | 2023 State WI – Notre Dame Academy – Impact
Kapalko is a volleyball junkie and a bit of a swiss army knife type player. She’s played libero coming up the club ranks, but a growth spurt being 5’10 has allowed her to be effective on the pin. A solid beach player as well, Kapalko has the court savy and high IQ where she knows how to be smart, effective, and aggressive.
Natalie Harris Natalie Harris 5'7" | DS/L Racine Case | 2023 State WI – Wisconsin Juniors – Epic
Harris is a bit of a hidden gem who can make a big impact at the next level. She was on the Badger Region High Performance team this past summer and will be one to watch heading into the 2022 club season. With a lot of quickness and a quiet platform, Harris has the type of game where she can make something really hard look relatively easy. She is nails when it comes to serve receive.
Skye McDermott – Evansville – Capital Volleyball Academy
McDermott has a bright volleyball future ahead of her. She has worn USA on her jersey and has seen success at an international level on the hard court and the beach. She does all of this with one hand. Yes, McDermott is on the road to gold with the USA Paralympic Sitting Team as well as the Paralympic Beach Team. She was on the Capital 16 Navy squad last year and is a setter/attacker where she is extremely dynamic. McDermott always plays with a spark and will bring plenty of energy to the gym next Sunday.
Kati Kati Goba Kati Goba DS/L Wisconsin Lutheran | 2023 State WI – Wisconsin Lutheran – Milwaukee Sting
Goba will be one of the top liberos in the gym for this event where she is coming off a successful high school season at Wisconsin Lutheran and an All Tournament nod from the Milwaukeee Sting 16 Gold Final Four run at the USAV National Division in July. She’s quick, she has trained at a high level, and knows what it takes to be successful on the court and in the classroom.
Emily Clausen Emily Clausen 6'0" | MB Catholic Memorial | 2023 State WI – Catholic Memorial – Milwaukee Sting
Clausen is so fun to watch with how smooth her style is on the court. She can take off on one foot to score points, shes long, athletic, and always finds a way to make her presence known. She’s played on the top Sting teams and is high school teammates with Elena Dragani Elena Dragani S Catholic Memorial | 2023 State WI . Those two make a solid wrecking crew.
Kate Bahrke Kate Bahrke S Oconto | 2023 State WI – Oconto – FC Elite
Bahrke is coming off a big high school season where she led Oconto to the state tournament with a 36-3 record and over 800 assists. She’s played her club ball at FC Elite and knows how to compete with and against top players. With a smooth release and a high IQ, she makes it easy for her teammates to get a big swing off her set. Definitely one to keep tabs on throughout the 2022 club season.
Lilly Bandle Lilly Bandle 6'1" | MB West Bend East | 2023 State WI – West Bend East – I AM VBC
Smash mouth volleyball. That is what Lilly Bandle Lilly Bandle 6'1" | MB West Bend East | 2023 State WI is going to bring you. Bandle is a 6’1 middle blocker who is extremely physical at the net. She will bring plenty of energy and will work in transition to get swings and will find a way to score. Bandle has been a Top Performer at Prep Dig Tournaments and can have an impact in plenty of ways for her team.
Samantha Fisch Samantha Fisch 6'1" | MB Luther Prep | 2023 State WI – Luther Prep – Milwaukee Sting
Fisch is another middle blocker with a big time physical presence. She was on a really exciting Sting 16 Black team in 2022 where her and Dragani connected plenty of times. Fisch has really solid hand contact as well a strong block where she can close at both pins. I would definitely have her on my list to watch at the Top 250 and heading into the club season.
Illinois Athletes Heading North
Illinois is full of plenty of high caliber athletes and these four will represent the Illinois Class of 2023. Many are already on the college radar and will go head to head some top players in Wisconsin.
