The players leading the way for these teams are transitioning into club season with some impressive statistics and should be on everyone’s radar to watch this upcoming club season.
Caroline Brackens – Skyline Jax 18 Royal – Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist – 2022
Caroline is extremely athletic with a quick arm swing, which is one reason she had 312 kills her senior year at Yulee High School. A six rotation player, she also tallied 211 digs and 58 aces. She’s quick, she can jump, and she’s just fun to watch play. She’s played with this club a couple of seasons, so their connection this year should be strong.
Katelynn West – JJVA 18 Black – Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist – 2022
Katelynn has been a force to be reckoned with since she stepped on the court her freshman year at Fernandina Beach High School. She led her team in hitting percentage her fresman year and led the district in total kills as a sophomore. Her court awareness and ability to split the block will guarantee to score points. Her ability to hit anywhere between the pins with her quick arm swing will definitely be an asset.
Christina Jackson – Skyline Jax 18 Royal – Middle Hitter/Outside Hitter – 2022
Christina has a cannon of an arm, and at 6’3″, not much can stop the ball when she swings at it. She tallied 319 kills in her senior year at Yulee High School and 35 total blocks. She also uses that cannon from the back row and led her high school team in aces the 2021 season. Beyond her power, she’s also a natural leader and rallies her team when needed. She’s been playing with her most of her current club team for a few seasons, so this last year together should be a special one.
Ashley Hall – Skyline Jax 17 Royal – Defensive Specialist/Outside Hitter – 2023
Ashley is one of the best defensive players around. In the 2021 season, she tallied 283 digs as a junior. She’s smart, she’s quick, and being out of system seems natural to her. Not only is her volleyball IQ off the charts, she manages to do it all without showing a bit of frustration. She’s a leader on the court & will frustrate even the best of hitters this club season.
Ella Johns – JJVA 17 Teal – Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist – 2023
At 6′ tall, Ella is a commanding player at the net. Her vertical ability and quick arm swing are defnitely going to score some points this season. She’s also a solid blocker and strong enough to keep even the best hitters at bay solo. As her footwork and consistency progress to meet her physicality, she’s going to be really fun to watch.
Emma Cook – Skyline Jax 15 Royal – Middle Hitter – 2024
As a sophomore, Emma is showing stats of many upperclassmen. Standing at 6’1″, she recorded 87 kills and 44 blocks for Yulee High School in 2021. While she has the ability to learn and grow more, she has established an incredible base of volleyball IQ. At this rate, all of her seasons are going to be special to watch.
