Continue ReadingThe club season is finally underway and we have currently seen some talent showing up and pouring their sweat, blood, and tears out on the court within the last couple of weeks. I have had the ability to get a inside look of the 13s and 14s group and some of the talent that they are producing. The 13s/14s group is going to be our group that are new to high school volleyball and the next steps to perfecting their craft.
Jillian Ostrander– Ultimate 13 Gold/OH
Ostrander is one of the many athletes whom are making a move to turning the heads and many, and I am one of those. Apart of the class of 2026, Ostrander is making noise on the court and is pushing herself to get to the top. The outside hitter is definitely a developing athlete, with her current fundamental training and foundation that is instilled in Ostrander already. She is very fluid on the court and moves well and crisp in her performance. I am impressed to see what else she can bring to the table.
Ella Thompson– Ultimate 13 Gold/MH
Thompson, another member of the class of 2026, is another stock rising player I am excited to see throughout the remainder of her club season. Thompson also is in a developmental stage, in which she is still learning ow to strengthen her skill set. She is not one to over looks as she is very strong with here swings and works well with her blocking. Thompson has some talent, but is going to need some grooming to knock it out the park.
Madelyn Glover– Top Flight 14 Theta
Glover is another stock rising athlete that is going to be one to continue watching throughout the remainder of the season. Glover is a very fluid and her development is stands out when she is out on the court. Her fundamentals and foundational skills are what is pushing her through and testing her skill set on the court. With her still being young and fresh on the court, Glover has more fundamental training to grasp, but is on the right path to future success. She is going to be one of the many to continue watching throughout the remainder of the season and further more.
Hannah Steffen– Top Flight 14 Theta
Steffen is yet another member of the 13s/14s group that is making their way up to becoming a stock rising athlete and grasping the spotlight out on the court. Steffen is going to be one to continue watching throughout her season to watch the progression of her current development and watching what current skill sets she carries out the court. Steffen has a solid foundation and impressive skill sets when performing on the court both during game play and for her skills and drills.
Katherine Young– Chicago Elite 14 National/MB
Young is going to be another rising athlete to watch as she is going into this season with straight ambition and talent. Young is another athlete that has the development and a solid skill set, but when it comes to the foundation and fundamental training, she can use further development. With her being with the 13s/1s group, she has the time and the ability to get the ample training to strengthen and sharpen the current skill set that she has.
