One of the most exciting of them will be Northwest Power League, which will reunite 50 teams of the 14s, 16s and 18s age groups for a full day of competition at the Academy Sports Center venue, in Lynwood.
During the week, we’ve been presenting some 18s teams that will compete in the tournament. In our final piece, meet Renovators 18-Allen, a solid club from the Renovators Volleyball Club from Liberty Lake.
Players to Watch:
Lindsay Addink – Setter/Right Sider – HS: Ephrata – 2022
An extremely versatile prospect, Lindsay Addink is an elite setter in her age group in the state of Washington. Besides her excellent technical skills and extremely high volleyball IQ, Addink also stands at 5’10”, being a positive factor at the net. She’s a very intelligent player, who’s able to react quickly to unforeseen situations and make good decisions. She guided her high school team Ephrata to a State Championship appearance in the last season by producing 663 assists (7.2 per set), 120 digs, 49 kills and 48 aces.
Teila Allen Teila Allen 5'10" | OH Mt. Spokane | 2022 WA – Outside Hitter – HS: Mt. Spokane – 2022
Part of a traditional volleyball family, Teila Allen Teila Allen 5'10" | OH Mt. Spokane | 2022 WA inherited the role of Mt. Spokane’s leading scorer from her older sister Tia. The 5’10” outside hitter’s game has a great mix of offensive and defensive tools, making of her a fantastic fit for the position. Allen is very aggressive and explosive at the net and is hard to stop because of her well-diversified offense and ability to score when out-of-system. She was in phenomenal form during the last high school season and made it to the Washington Coaches Association All-State first-team after she helped Mt. Spokane finish fifth.
Leilani Ama Leilani Ama 5'11" | S Mt. Spokane | 2023 State WA – Setter/Right Sider – HS: Mt. Spokane – 2022
Renovators 18-Allen has the pieces to run a well-oiled 6-2 system with Addink and Leilani Ama Leilani Ama 5'11" | S Mt. Spokane | 2023 State WA . As her teammate, Ama is a 5’11” setter who excels on her double duty, providing great value on both setting and hitting. She’s spent her high school career in a solid team Mt. Spokane, where she developed great chemistry with Allen, with who she shared the leadership duties.
