Continue ReadingThe club volleyball season continues at full pace in the state of Washington and a handful of new tournaments is set to take place all around the Evergreen State during the weekend.
One of the most exciting of them will be Northwest Power League, which will reunite 50 teams of the 14s, 16s and 18s age groups for a full day of competition at the Academy Sports Center venue, in Lynwood.
During the week, we’ll present some 18s teams that will compete in the tournament. Today’s article is about T3 U18 Elite, a team from the T3 Volleyball Club which counts on players from Eastern Washington and North Idaho.
Players to Watch:
Abby Harrell – Outside Hitter – HS: Ellensburg – 2023
A dynamic outside hitter with a great well-rounded game, Abby Harrell is typically a key piece in the teams she plays and it’s no different with T3 U18 Elite. The 5’10” outside hitter has all the tools to dominate the game and uses them extremely well. She has helped Ellensburg make it to the final of the State Championship in her freshman season and has been a stud for them since then, making it to the Washington Coaches Association All-State first team this past season. A Villanova commit, Harrell is a true two-way player, impacting the game on both sides of the ball.
Ashley Boswell – Middle Blocker/Outside Hitter – HS: Freeman – 2022
A versatile 6’1” prospect who’s capable of playing in the middle or at the pin, Ashley Boswell offers a lot of versatility to her coaches. She’s long and athletic and does a great job in impacting the game at the net with either her blocking of hitting skills. She’s also an excellent backcourt player, who’s able to help in serve receiving and defense. Boswell was a big part of Freeman’s team that finished fifth in last year’s State Championship and was awarded a spot in the Washington Coaches Association All-State first team for that.
Jessica Stires – Outside Hitter – HS: Lakeside – 2022
Jessica Stires’ excellent technique is probably her main asset as a volleyball player. Her superior skills and incredible understanding of the game make her play taller than her 5’8” frame and she’s always a very influential player for her teams. Stires has long been a key piece in Lakeside’s playing system and did that in 2021 as well, making it to the Washington Coaches Association All-State team as an honorable mention.
