Continue ReadingWe have been watching the 2024 class very closely throughout the entire club season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person. We have also been watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles in order to determine placement. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be moved up the rankings due to their individual performances.
Ayden Ames Ayden Ames 6'4" | MB Prosper | 2024 State #3 Nation TX [2024] 6-3 Middle/Outside (HS: Prosper/Club: Texas Advantage /Verbal: Uncommitted)
Ayden has moved up the rankings again. She went from being ranked as the 10th best overall prospect to now being listed as the 4th best overall prospect and also being named as the best middle in the 2024 class in the entire state of Texas. She plays at Prosper High School and also the famed Texas Advantage Volleyball club program. I have covered this young lady a few time and here is an excerpt from my latest article on her, “Every time I watch her play I am amazed at something new that I see in her skill-set. She has proven once again that I should reevaluate the rankings and see how far she can move up. I love how TAV is using her along the net at various times. It is usually very difficult for any player to change tempos and score effectively, but Ayden is being asked to hit from different locations, change tempos, and routes during different rotations and she is still super effective at scoring. I love how she moves on the court and very rarely has her heels hit the ground. This keeps her very bouncy and super fast at changing directions. Miss Ames absolutely shut down some amazing hitters on day three during the toughest part of the tournament. She can serve tough, dig hard driven balls, time and press superbly on the block, and boy can she attack. At this point, I’m just waiting on Coach Joe to throw her in the setting rotation also. But on a serious note, this young lady was super impressive and had tons of coaches talking again.” Ever since she came to Texas from California, she has taken the volleyball world by storm. She is getting more and more well-rounded in volleyball thanks to coaches pushing her to do new things on the court. She has really blossomed and turned into a better overall player. Please help us congratulate her on being named one of the top four players in the great state of Texas.
Jadyn Livings Jadyn Livings 6'1" | OH Prestonwood Christian | 2024 State #28 Nation TX [2024] 6-1 Outside (HS: Prestonwood Christian/Club: Texas Advantage / Verbal: Uncommitted)
Jadyn has made one of the largest jumps in the rankings in this update. She went from being listed as the 36th best overall prospect to now being ranked as the 5th best overall prospect and the 3rd best outside in the state. She is a talented pin hitter from Prestonwood Christian High School and the wonderful Texas Advantage club program. We covered her during the toughest National Qualifier in the nation at Lone Star and here is what I stated, “Jadyn impressed me with just how resilient she is. Even though most accolades go to outside hitters, they also get tons of constructive criticism from everyone as they swing hundreds of times throughout the three days of play. They must play all the way around and have to pass nails in serve receive, dig over and over, and find different ways to score offensively. I watched as Miss Livings took everything that came her way during some adversity and kept her play at an all time high. There was nothing that fazed her whether it was getting blocked, making an error, getting yelled at by her coaches (constructive criticism of course), or being exhausted from hardy ever coming off of the court. She played amazing when her team needed her the most and was a big reason why they were able to win the championship. I am definitely considering moving her up the rankings with what I saw this weekend.” I was super excited to move this wonderful young lady up the rankings after watching her ball out in Dallas last month. She earned every bit of the movement in this update as she was stellar on the pins and in the back row. We are very proud of her accomplishment and look forward to covering her again at nationals in June. Please congratulate her on moving up into the top five!
Lainee Pyles Lainee Pyles 6'3" | MB Fossil Ridge | 2024 State #47 Nation TX [2024] 6-0 Middle (HS: Fossil Ridge/Club: Madfrog/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Lainee has moved up the rankings in the update. She went from being ranked as the 9th best overall prospect to now being listed as the 7th best overall player in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. We profiled her this past year and here is a little of what we stated, “She is from a club who is known nationally as always having some incredibly athletic players who play at a high level. She has the frame and upper body power that will electrify for years to come. She understands the hard drive with her footwork to do some damage offensively in the middle on quick attempts. I like how she turns on the ball to hit the hard cut back shot to right back. It is almost impossible to stop when her setter is in system for it. She has incredible athleticism out of the middle and routinely scores on overpasses and 2nd contact kills. You can attribute this due to her incredible play in sand volleyball. It takes a special player to excel in both indoor and beach volleyball and Miss Pyles is one of those players who can easily transition from one sport to the other. She will be a force to be reckoned with for the next four years. We will grab our popcorn and watch the show. Please welcome her to the Prep Dig family and congratulate her on being ranked with the top players in the great state of Texas. This season Lainee has been stellar on varsity. She has amassed 483 kills on a 271 hitting percentage. Her kill total is leading the entire state out of all sophomores across Texas. She also has 41 blocks and 54 aces on the year. Miss Pyles has proven that she is one of the best sophs on the court.” I loved what I saw in person at the Lone Star National Qualifier in Dallas last month. She was a beast on both offense and defense at the net. Her individual performance this past club season proved that she was one of the best middles in the state of Texas. Please help us congratulate her on moving up the list!
