Here is what we had with recruiting classes with four or more in the Prep Dig National 2023 Rankings. Here are programs who have three commits in the top 100.
Baylor
#6 – Kyndal Stowers Kyndal Stowers 6'0" | OH Guyver | 2023 State #8 Nation TX – OH – Guyver (TX) – TAV
#23 – Harley Kreck Harley Kreck 6'0" | S Rains | 2023 State #27 Nation TX – OH/S – Rains (TX) – Dallas Skyline
#24 – Kendal Murphy Kendal Murphy 6'3" | OH Horizon | 2023 #28 Nation AZ – OH – Horizon (AZ) – AZ Revolution
Baylor brings in some of the top instate recruits and another pin from a powerhouse club in Kendal Murphy Kendal Murphy 6'3" | OH Horizon | 2023 #28 Nation AZ out of Arizona. Stowers is a pure six rotation outside hitter where she makes everyone else better on the court. She knows how to make the defensive play and transition into attacking to score points. She knows how to win as does Harley Kreck Harley Kreck 6'0" | S Rains | 2023 State #27 Nation TX who is a setter/outside hitter combination. These athletes can do it all. Baylor likes their athletes to be extremely dynamic, this class will combine well with the likes of National Gatorade Player of the Year, Averi Carlson, who will be in her Freshman season at Baylor this fall. At 6’3, Murphy brings a lot of power and physicality to the pin. She hits a heavy ball and could be used on the left or right side.

Creighton
#31 – Destiny Ndam-Simpson- OH – Omaha Westside (NE) – Premier Nebraska
#61 – Ava TeStrate – OH – Olathe Northwest (KS) – KC Power
#99 – Jaya Johnson – MB – Olathe South (KS() -PVA
Creighton gets those top local kids to play near home. Destiny Ndam-Simpson is a hometown prospect who plays for Omaha Westside High School and Premier Nebraska out of Omaha. She is flat out electric where she can do some special things in her playmaking ability from the front and back row. TeStrate may have the highest ceiling of potential out of all these prospects, she is real long and athletic on the pin where Creighton knows how to develop these athletes into All League type players. Jaya Johnson is also out of the Kansas City area and will bring a major physical presence to the Bluejays. Her PVA team has some big time athletes on the roster and they will be fun to watch compete in Indy later this summer.
Minnesota
#14 Laney Choboy Laney Choboy 5'4" | DS/L Leesville Road | 2023 #10 Nation NC – DS/L – Leesville Road (NC) – NC VB Academy
#20 Calissa Minatee Calissa Minatee 6'0" | MB North Kansas City | 2023 State #25 Nation MO – MB – North Kansas City (MO) – Dynasty
#22 Sydney Schnichels Sydney Schnichels 6'4" | OH Wilmar | 2023 State #19 Nation MN – RS – Wilmar (MN) – Northern Lights
This class is going to be electric when combined with the Class of 2022 recruiting class. Laney Choboy Laney Choboy 5'4" | DS/L Leesville Road | 2023 #10 Nation NC plays with such a fire, she raises the energy on the court and backs it up with a solid serve receive and pass game, a true floor general. She brings international experience as well after playing on the U18 Youth National Team with soon to be freshman at Minnesota, Mckenna Wucherer. The Gophers continue their recruiting bread and butter with athletes out of Kansas City and locally out of Northern Lights in the Twin Cities Metro. Calissa Minatee Calissa Minatee 6'0" | MB North Kansas City | 2023 State #25 Nation MO might be one of the most athletic middles in this 2023 class, playing for Dynasty 17 Black who will be in the hunt for a national title in 17 Open come early July. Schnichels is a six rotation right side who will be a major mismatch for the other side of the net. She is long and athletic with the ability to do a lot of special things, a definite x-factor.
North Carolina
#34 Safi Hampton Safi Hampton 6'1" | OH Hammond (MD) | 2023 State #34 Nation VA – OH – Hammond (MD) – Metro
#55 Sydney Nolan Sydney Nolan 6'2" | MB Notre Dame | 2023 State #60 Nation KY – MB/OH – Notre Dame Academy (KY) – NKYVC
#62 Romani Thurman Romani Thurman 5'11" | RS Little Rock Christian | 2023 #66 Nation AR – RS – Little Rock Christian (AR) – Ozark Juniors
#88 Zoe Behrendt Zoe Behrendt 5'11" | S Whitefish Bay | 2023 State #113 Nation WI – S – Whitefish Bay (WI) – MKE Sting
Since our release of the 2023 rankings, we added North Carolina to Safi Hampton‘s profile to put North Carolina at four athletes in the 2023 National Rankings. Hampton plays for Metro out of the DC area where they have a ton of explosiveness. Shei is a high flyer with big point scoring abilities from the front and back court. Sydney Nolan Sydney Nolan 6'2" | MB Notre Dame | 2023 State #60 Nation KY has been a middle and outside. I saw her play middle for her high school team and she could hit all the tempos along with some crazy angles. This past club season she’s been on the pin for NKYVC. Romani Thurman Romani Thurman 5'11" | RS Little Rock Christian | 2023 #66 Nation AR is a lot of speed and power where she can do a lot of things on the right side with a huge left handed swing, very explosive. Zoe Behrendt Zoe Behrendt 5'11" | S Whitefish Bay | 2023 State #113 Nation WI is the cool, calm, and collected setter who is so smooth with how she conducts the court. She’s played on the right side for MKE Sting 17 Gold as well as setter, but her future as a Tar Heel will be as a setter. She fits in greatly with this incoming class. The ACC is looking tough the next few years.
@1stAllianceVBC 17 Gold wins a slug fest against Legacy. Lot of power on both sides. Grace Egan Grace Egan 6'1" | OH Sterling | 2023 State #41 Nation IL fittingly with the kill to end the match for 1st Alliance @TCVolleyballNIT pic.twitter.com/3nnYcMfpoZ

Ohio State
#9 Eloise Brandewie Eloise Brandewie 6'2" | MB Bishop Hartley | 2023 State #11 Nation OH – MB – Bishop Harley (OH) – Mintonette
#44 Mia Tuman Mia Tuman 6'0" | S North Allegheny | 2023 #51 Nation PA – S – North Allegheny (PA) – Pittsburgh Elite
#47 Grace Egan Grace Egan 6'1" | OH Sterling | 2023 State #41 Nation IL – OH – Sterling (IL) – 1st Alliance
In order to compete in the Big Ten, it takes a certain level of athleticism and physicality to see the court, let along compete. This is exactly what the Ohio State recruiting class has coming in with athletes in the top 100. Brandewie is the local athlete who moves extremely well out of the middle, taking complete control of the front line. She can run the tempo and is so dangerous on the slide, teams always have to know here she is. Same with Grace Egan Grace Egan 6'1" | OH Sterling | 2023 State #41 Nation IL out of Illinois. She is a six rotation outside hitter playing for one of the top 17s teams in the country with 1st Alliance 17 Gold. She has a blend of finesse and power that gives her the ability to score a lot of points. Tuman is the Pennsylvania Gatorade Player of the Year and plays with a huge spark. She’s got a high motor and will be one to get the offense rolling for the Buckeyes.
