Hope Duncan Hope Duncan 5'8" | DS/L Smoky Valley | 2024 State KS – 2024 – OH/RS- Shockwave 16-1
We talked about Hope recently as a player in the state of Kansas not in Kansas City having a strong spring. She has continued to look strong on the RS for a very talented Shockwave team who will be heading to Orlando for AAUs. She has great footwork for a right-handed opposite and does a great job in transition to get a good approach. She is a strong blocker and can affect the game defensively. She is a player who definitely improved her stock this spring. Here are her pre-national highlights.
Sophia Bond Sophia Bond 5'7" | DS/L St. Thomas Aquinas | 2024 State KS – 2024 – L/S – Mavs KC 16-1
I had a chance to see Bond a couple of times last weekend in Lawrence. She is another player who looks to have made a jump from 2021 to 2022. She is quicker and it appears her reaction is faster with balls flying right at her. We mention often we love liberos who are comfortable setting with their hands on the second ball and she fits the bill in this category. She does a good job of getting her feet planted to deliver a good pass. Her block coverage game is elite. Here are some highlights from this spring.
Keilah Rivers – 2024 – OH/DS – Mavs KC 16-2
We like finding new players to check out. We saw a 7-second clip on Twitter and decided to go to her recruiting page to see more videos. Rivers is an intriguing player on the court. A 6 rotation pin, her highlight starts with her back-row defense, which shows she has the skills to play along the back row at the next level. She has good size and length and holds a solid platform. As an outside, she jumps well and brings some velocity behind her swings. She is a really high-skilled player on a really strong Mavs 2 team. is a peek at her highlight video.
