Multi-talented hitters can be found all over Nebraska’s 2025 class, and we’re only just getting started with the evolution of these rankings. We’ll have so many opportunities to add more pin hitters and middle blockers to the mix when the high school season is in full swing.
For now, here are a few attackers who took full advantage of the 2022 club season and made a big climb in our latest update.
Paymal embodies the spirit of this stock riser feature, as she took her game to a new level with Nebraska Elite this year. Her big moment came at the Show Me Qualifier, where Nebraska Elite repeatedly leaned on Paymal to deliver clutch kills in tight situations. This physical opposite always delivered in those key spots and was a big reason for 15 Matrix’s ascent to GJNC in 2022.
Highlights
This was Premier 15 Gold’s Swiss army knife. Hagedorn is so difficult for opposing blockers to track because she can attack from pretty much anywhere. Her native position is at opposite, but Hagedorn scored on so many designed 2-balls and was also an effective left-side hitter when rotations warranted it. It’s not hard to imagine Hagedorn’s game getting progressively stronger as we transition to the fall season.
Gish made an immediate impact in her freshman campaign with Omaha Duchesne, and that turned out to be a good precursor to her 2022 season with Nebraska Elite. 15 Matrix found plenty of unique ways to get this physical attacker involved in the offense. Gish is primarily a middle blocker but took a few cracks on the left pin in designed sideout plays. Her repertoire is clearly expanding, and that will be a storyline to follow for future rankings updates.
Amid Nebraska ONE 15 Synergy’s successful season, Hasselbalch proved her worth as a quintessential M1. She fits this position well because she does just about everything you could ask of a middle blocker. Hasselbalch is strong off one foot, makes great blocking reads, and is even effective at serving and floor defense in her half rotation behind the line.
Just another strong, physical middle blocker from Johnson-Brock. Ottemann is carrying on a great tradition of talented athletes from that area, and she put together another impressive year in the Nebraska Juniors gym. And, like some of the other middle blockers on this feature, Ottemann got a few chances to show her prowess on the pin when Nebraska Juniors needed a quick score.
Wahoo will surely be looking for a big sophomore year out of Osmera. She suited up for VCN 15 Elite this year and showed the same six-rotation consistency we saw from her last fall. A strong club season against some tough competition will likely boost Osmera’s confidence as we watch this 2025 class evolve.

All Helzer has to do this fall is improve on last year’s state championship-winning effort from Oakland-Craig last year. No big deal. The Helzer duo on the pin was so fun to follow in 2021, but now Brandi will take on a feature role with older sister Bailey heading to Arkansas State. A strong year for Nebraska Elite 15 Mamba should provide a good launching point for Helzer’s second season with Class C2’s defending champs.
Kucks has managed to become one of Premier 16 Red’s most electric pin hitters while also playing up as a 2025. Her influence goes beyond her swings, though, as Kucks consistently locks down floor defense and serve receive like a libero. The Millard North product might have her future in the backcourt, but the impact of her frontcourt firepower cannot be overlooked.
